Pablo Cartaya Visits SDMS

Thanks to a grant from the Wethersfield Education Foundation and the AT&T Foundation, SDMS welcomed author Pablo Cartaya to SDMS, Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

As part of the grant, every student received a book by the author. Students were introduced to the five book choices in April in Language Arts classes and filled out a book selection form, choosing one of the five titles. Books were distributed in the last few weeks.

Students were encouraged to bring their book book signing during lunch.

The students LOVED Pablo. The staff LOVED Pablo. The stories of his life were engaging, funny, poignant, and important for our kids.
